Teresa Lynn Spears Greene

Teresa Lynn Spears Greene, formerly of Jacksonville and a longtime Ocala resident, passed away May 23, 2022. She was an Andrew Jackson High School alumni who grew up playing softball and football with the neighborhood kids and fishing the local ponds and rivers. She was a gifted musician who could play any instrument she picked up. A fan of all genres of music, she enjoyed singing karaoke and harmonizing with her family and friends. Teresa enjoyed attending car shows and outdoor music festivals, shooting pool and going camping. She loved the Lord and was an avid Florida State Seminole fan.

She is survived by her life partner: Gail Burton of Ocala; her parents:  James and Vera Jeffries of Baldwin; children: Shelly Taaffe and Tim Burton of Ocala; siblings: Bill (Linda) Spears of Sebring, Lonnie Spears Jr. of Jacksonville, Susan Altman of Orange Park and Karen Spears of Jacksonville; eight nieces and nephews and a host of great nieces, great nephews, cousins, and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Reverend William Raymond Spears Sr. A celebration of her life will be held 2:00pm, Saturday, June 4, 2022 in the chapel at Warren Funeral Services of Baldwin with Reverend Larry McGinley officiating. Teresa’s family will receive friends beginning at 1:30pm the day of the service at the funeral home. Warren Funeral Services of Baldwin is honored to serve Teresa’s family.
