Ms. Shelia Ann Patton, age 68 of Jacksonville, passed away Friday, June 16, 2023. A local resident for the past thirty years, she was known around Baldwin as “Ms. Shelia”. Originally from West Virginia, she was known as an adventurous woman who loved to travel. She saw most of the country on foot before settling in this area. Ms. Shelia spent time as a waitress and a truck driver and was a “spitfire little woman”. She was a caring woman who loved animals and children and spending time outdoors with her grandchildren. She was the neighborhood “grandma” and helped raise more than just her own. She is survived by her children: Larry Wilcoxen and Tina Michelle Thomas, both of West Virginia and Michael A. (Lynetta) Bynum of Lake City; grandchildren: Michael Bynum Jr., Candice Wilcoxen, Michael Hashman, and Rachel Thomas; great grandchildren: Alaina Faye Dunlap, Legend Masiah Wilcoxen, Jase Robert Moore, and Journei Alianna Wilcoxen; niece: Victoria Flannigan of Jacksonville and nephew: Tevin Daniels of Illinois. Numerous other family members also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents: Henry G. and Evelyn E. Ledford, great granddaughter: Natalyn Rayn Dunlap, sister: Diana Flannigan, and brother: James Ledford. A celebration of Ms. Shelia’s life will be held 1:00pm, Saturday, July 8, 2023, at the Baldwin Community Center, Baldwin, Florida. Warren Funeral Services of Baldwin is honored to serve the Patton family.
