Ms. Shannon Diane Minton, age 39 of Jacksonville, passed away Wednesday, November 28, 2018. A longtime Jacksonville resident, Ms. Minton attended Ed White High School, Florida State College at Jacksonville and was a painter by trade. She had a zest for life and experiencing it to the fullest. She believed in staying true to self, strong yet humble, and was always willing to help others. Ms. Minton had a magnetic personality with a twinkle in her eyes when she smiled and could make a friend wherever she was. She loved the color green, going to the beach, playing billiards, and riding motorcycles. A very family oriented woman, she loved her daughters dearly and loved cooking and enjoying a good meal. She is survived by her daughters: Andria Minton of Denton, TX, Lily Minton of Jacksonville, and Ella Ashby of Ohio; grandson: Calem Sanchez of Denton, TX; mother and stepfather: Nancy and Kevin Brown of Jacksonville; father James M. Bosurgi of Bryceville; brother: James M. Bosurgi of Jacksonville; stepbrother: Tristan Brown of Jacksonville; grandmother: Martha Benzing of Jacksonville and numerous other family members. A celebration of her life will be held 2:00pm, Saturday, December 8, 2018 in the chapel of Prestwood Funeral Home with John Vick officiating. Interment will follow at Brandy Branch Cemetery, Bryceville. The family will receive friends at 12:00pm at the funeral home, the day of the service.
