Mr. Randall Lavon Smith, age 64 of Jacksonville, passed away Tuesday, February 6, 2024. A thirty-five-year Jacksonville resident, Mr. Smith was originally from Chattanooga, Tennessee. He was a carpenter by trade but had many interests. He loved riding his motorcycle, was an avid golfer, and a collector of knives, firearms, and tools. Mr. Smith was a talented guitarist and singer who loved playing and singing at family functions and at Dinsmore Church of God where he was a member and choir leader. A natural comedian, he thoroughly enjoyed making people laugh. He was a devoted family man who was very protective of his loved ones. He is survived by his wife of thirty-two years: Marcia Smith; children: Brandi Strickland of Georgia, Rickey Cason, Daniel Cason, Melissa Cason, Hannah Cason, Kaylee Cason, Daniel L. Cason, and Dalton Cason all of Jacksonville; grandchildren: Ethan Cason, Kinsley Cason, Ella Cason, and Elijah Cason; great grandchild: Kaison Alexander; uncle: Ronnie Harris of Cleveland, Tennessee; sister: Sissy Christopher of Fort Worth, TX, brother: Billy (Jennifer) Harcrow of Soddy Daisy, Tennessee and numerous other family members. He was preceded in death by his parents: Ronald L. Smith and Mary Jane Harris Smith. A celebration of his life will be held 2pm, Friday, February 9, 2024, in the chapel at Warren Funeral Services of Baldwin with Pastor Sarah Team officiating. The family will receive friends in the chapel one hour prior to the service. Warren Funeral Services of Baldwin is honored to serve the Smith family.
