Mrs. Phyllis Carter Jacobs, age 71 of Jacksonville, passed away Thursday, July 7, 2022. A lifelong Jacksonville resident, Mrs. Jacobs was born to the late Spring Carter and Emily Martin. She was known as a very loving woman who would help anyone in need and never turned anyone away. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who adored spending time with her family; nieces and nephews included. Mrs. Jacobs was a talented seamstress who loved sewing. She also enjoyed going fishing and putting jigsaw puzzles together. She is survived by her daughters: Lisa Ann Thomas and Carolyn (Jason) Moore, all of Glen St. Mary; grandchildren: April Thomas (Dean Johns) of Glen St. Mary, Dylon Jacobs (Stephanie) and Jerry Lester Jacobs III, all of New Jersey, Gaige Davis, Garrett Davis, Carter Davis, Ty Moore, Wyatt Moore, and Max Moore, all of Glen St. Mary; great grandchildren: Kaylynn Johns, Brayden Johns, and Grace Jacobs; sister: Debbie (Denny) Woodard of Baxley, GA; sisters-in-law: Barbara Pounds, Alice (Garland) Whaley, Loretta (John) Sanford, and Janet Jacobs, all of Jacksonville and Annie (Wayne) Dill of Keystone Heights; brother-in-law: Donnie (Terry) Jacobs of Glen St. Mary and a host of nieces, nephews and other family members. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband: Jerry Jacobs Sr., son: Jerry Jacobs Jr. and grandson: Steven Thomas Jr. Funeral services will be held 1:00pm, Tuesday, July 12, 2022 in the chapel of Warren Funeral Services of Baldwin with Reverend Deryle Adkison officiating. Interment will follow at Riverside Memorial Park, Jacksonville. The family will receive friends at the funeral home beginning at 12:00pm.
