Myrtice Rhoden

Mrs. Myrtice Rhoden, age 95 of Hilliard, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 26, 2022. She was born in Baxley, Georgia to the late Willie J. and Mabel C. Johnson. Mrs. Rhoden was a seventy-two-year resident of Jacksonville before moving to Hilliard six years ago. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who was ever faithful to the Lord. She enjoyed reading and quilting and will be lovingly remembered as “a little firecracker”.  Mrs. Rhoden is survived by her daughters: Edna (Les) Ditchek of New Smyrna Beach, Melissa (Doug) Coaker of St. Louis, MO, and Mechele (Clint) Stokes of Hilliard; son-in-law: Carl Nobles of Hilliard; brother: Delano Johnson of Baxley, GA; eleven grandchildren, twenty-three great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband: Jesse Merle Rhoden, and daughter: Merlene Nobles. A celebration of her life will be held 1:00pm, Thursday, March 31, 2022, in the chapel at Warren Funeral Services of Baldwin with Reverend Danny O’Neal officiating. Interment will follow the service at Riverside Memorial Park, Jacksonville. The family will receive friends at 12:30pm, the day of the service at the funeral home.
