Mary M. Martin

Mrs. Mary M. Martin, age 86 of Starke passed away Friday, October 20, 2023. Mrs. Martin was born January 14, 1937, in Jacksonville to the late Charles B. Motes and Kathleen (Hunt) Motes. Mrs. Martin was a property manager for many years and spent time in the Ocala area, including Williston, where she had a farm. This allowed her to facilitate her passion for animals and animal rescue. Mrs. Martin was an upbeat, positive woman who loved the Lord, her family and her animals. She is survived by her husband: Walter Martin of Starke and her siblings: Charles Larry (Dawn) Motes and Denise (Charlie) Kirkland, all of Bryceville. She was preceded in death by her parents; former husband: Charles E. Jackson; daughter: Pamela Massey, and siblings: Anne Motes Sink and Dorsey Motes. Funeral services will be held 11:00am, Thursday, October 26, 2023, in the chapel at Warren Funeral Services of Baldwin with Reverend Deryle Adkison officiating. The family will receive friends at 10:00am, the day of the service. Interment will follow the service at Motes Cemetery in Bryceville.
