Ms. Margaret Ann Warren, age 79 of Jacksonville, passed away Sunday, February 21, 2021. She was born in Jacksonville to the late Avery T. and Iva Lee (Jones) Green, Sr. Ms. Warren was a longtime homemaker, caring for and raising her family until she went to work as a registrar for the Northeast Florida Safety Council in Jacksonville, where she was employed until her retirement. She was an exceptional cook and enjoyed cooking for her family. Known to have a giving nature, Ms. Warren enjoyed sharing with others, whether it be providing a meal, sharing her time and love, or assisting financially whenever she could. She enjoyed attending Hope for Life Baptist church, where she was a member. Gathering together with her siblings for “brothers and sisters” luncheons was especially enjoyable for her. Ms. Warren loved attending concerts and dinner theatre at Alhambra in Jacksonville. She especially loved spending time with her family, most especially her grand and great-grandchildren. She is survived by her children: Ann (Darren) Huffty of Jacksonville, Alex (Linda) Warren of Baldwin, Douglas Warren (Angela) of Jacksonville, and Bruce (Lucretia “Scooter”) Warren of Bryceville; grandchildren: Jamie Phillips, Sedona Huffty, Hilary Berry, Amber Stepp, Andrew Dove, Mathew Dove, Nathaniel Dove, Nathan Warren, Erica Rosario, Jake Warren, and Alexis Warren; twenty great-grandchildren; sisters: Donna (Larry) Bruce of Brunswick, GA and Lorraine Chapman of St. Simons Island, GA; and brothers: Avery T. (Jennie Lou) Green Jr. of Callahan and Lonnie (Juanita) Green of Jacksonville. Numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister: Linda Graham. Funeral services will be held 11:00am, Saturday, February 27, 2021 at First Baptist Church of Callahan with Reverend Billy Bray officiating. Interment will follow at Brandy Branch Cemetery in Bryceville. The family will receive friends 6-8:00pm, Friday, February 26, 2021 in the chapel of Warren Funeral Services of Baldwin.
