John Nathan Burchfield

Mr. John Nathan Burchfield, age 86 of Debary, Florida and formerly of Jacksonville, passed away Saturday, September 10, 2022. He was born in Birmingham, Alabama to the late Homer and Mary Norvell Burchfield. Mr. Burchfield enlisted in the United States Army in 1956. He also served with the Wyoming Air National Guard and was an Air Force National Guard Staff Sergeant at the time of his military retirement. He spent time as a property manager and as an insurance adjuster during his civilian career. Mr. Burchfield was involved with the Boy Scouts of America, was a member of a walking club, and enjoyed hiking and camping. He is survived by his wife of fifty three years: Betty Jean Burchfield of Debary, Florida; stepsons: Harold Jaynes of Ponte Vedra and Michael (Caroline) Jaynes of Crawfordville, Florida; nine grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Staci Burchfield. Funeral services will be held 10:00am, Friday, September 16, 2022 at Jacksonville National Cemetery with Bishop Brent Withers officiating and military honors executed. Interment will follow the service at the cemetery. Warren Funeral Services of Baldwin is honored to serve the Burchfield family.
