Ms. Helen Regina Lumbo, age 87 of Baldwin, passed away Sunday, December 15, 2019. Ms. Lumbo was born in Virginia to the late Andrew L. and Margaret V. Kelly Simons. A military wife and mother, she made a loving home for her family wherever duty called and eventually settled in Baldwin forty three years ago. After her children were grown, she became a private caregiver and was also employed at Southern States Nursery in Macclenny for some time. Ms. Lumbo enjoyed bowling, playing bingo and being at home with her family. She will be remembered for her infectious belly laughs, care for others and unconditional love for family. Ms. Lumbo is survived by her children: Harvey Bentley of Jacksonville, Debra Bentley and Reynaldo Lumbo, both of Baldwin; grandchildren: Ashley Bentley and Derek J. Bentley, both of Jacksonville, and Holly R. Bentley of Middleburg; great grandchildren: Leah Bentley, Lily Bentley, and Annabella Bentley; brother: William Simons; sister: Margaret Hoffman, and numerous other family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband: Rufino D.C. Lumbo, sons: Rufino S. “Rue” Lumbo and Dane E. Bentley, and several siblings. A graveside funeral service will be held 1:00pm, Saturday, December 21, 2019 at Woodlawn Cemetery in Macclenny with Reverend Chris Drum officiating. Ms. Lumbo’s family will receive friends, the day of the service, in the chapel of Warren Funeral Services of Baldwin beginning at 10:00am.
