Zelma Stokes Wallace

WALLACE- Funeral services for Zelma Stokes Wallace (89) of Baldwin, Florida will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at the First Baptist Church of Baldwin with Rev. Chris Drum officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. The interment will immediately follow in Boones Creek Cemetery, St. George, Georgia. Ms. Wallace was born on June 1, 1927 in St. George, Georgia, daughter of the late Herman O. Stokes Sr. and the former Parshel Crews. She went home to be with the Lord on February 23, 2017 in Baldwin, Florida. Ms. Zelma was a faithful believer in her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and was a devoted longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Baldwin. She is survived by her loving sons: Raeford Dale Wallace Jr., Steven Victor Wallace, and David (Kara) William Wallace; ten grandchildren; six great grandchildren; numerous extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 65 years, Raeford Dale Wallace Sr. Those serving as pallbearers include: Timothy J. Wallace, Christopher S. Wallace, Nathaniel J. Wallace, Jaron D. Wallace, Raeford D. Wallace III and Tyler C. Wallace. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Community Hospice of Northeast Florida or to the First Baptist Church of Baldwin.
