William "Ottis" Irving McQuaig - a beloved son, brother, father, and friend - departed this world on March 4, 2026, at the age of 56 in his hometown of Jacksonville, Florida; where he was born on June 9, 1970, to William Richard and Vicki Dale McQuaig.

A dedicated professional in the HVAC industry, Ottis approached his career with a lifelong commitment, a true testament to his strong work ethic. Beyond his profession, he was a vibrant soul who found joy in the simple pleasures of life—his heart belonged to the Florida Gators and the melodies of classic country music. Whether it was sharing a laugh or reveling in music, Ottis had a remarkable ability to be the life of every gathering, spreading warmth and happiness to all who knew him.

Preceded in death by his father, William, and his sister, Marie, the legacy of Ottis McQuaig lives on through his cherished family. He is survived by his devoted mother, Vicki McQuaig; his brother, David McQuaig; his two sons, Cory (Amaran) Regan and Tyler (Katlin) McQuaig; and his six grandchildren, each of whom carries forward his spirit and love.
