Willard Thornton

THORNTON - Graveside services for Willard Douglas Thornton (72) of O'Brien, Florida will be held 11 am, Friday, January 16, 2015 with military honors rendered by the U.S. Marine Corp in South Prong Cemetery, Sanderson, Florida with Brother Jimmie R. Thornton, Sr. officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm, Thursday, January 15, 2015 in the chapel of Prestwood Funeral Home. Willard was born on November 13, 1942 in Jacksonville, Florida son of the late Clarence Thornton and the former Leona Boyd. He passed away on January 12, 2015 following a lengthy illness. He is survived by: son, Chris (Jennifer) Thornton; daughter, Cynthia Thornton; four grandchildren, Joshua Thornton, Christal (Ryan) Adamic, Zach Thornton and Wyatt Thornton; two great grandchildren; two brothers, C.L. (Doris) Thornton and Jimmie (Jean) Thornton, Sr.; numerous extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Anna Joyce Thornton.
