MERCER- Memorial services for Virgil Ray Mercer, 74, of Jacksonville, Florida will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, May 6, 2017 at First Coast Baptist Church, 7587 Blanding Blvd., Jacksonville, Florida 32244. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the Church. Mr. Mercer was born July 27, 1942 in Live Oak, Florida, son of the late Charley Mercer and the former Eva Johnson. He passed away on April 27, 2017 after an extended illness. Survivors include: daughters, Sara (Douglas) Snead and Fay Mercer, both of Jacksonville, Florida; son, Virgil Ray Mercer Jr., of Highlands county, Florida; grandchildren, Sydney Snead, Allyson Snead, Jordyn Snead and Conner Snead; numerous extended family and friends.
