Troy Meredith of Baldwin, Florida, passed away on April 12th, 2025, after a lengthy illness. His family was by his side. Troy was born on May 21, 1937, in Bee Spring, Kentucky, to the late Elmer and Ruby Meredith. In 1957, Troy joined the United States Navy. While stationed in Jacksonivlle, FL, Troy met and married Marilyn Thomas, and made Baldwin his forever home. After his discharge from the Navy, Troy had several jobs. He participated in the construction of I-10 and worked at Southern Wood in Baldwin, but his true calling was "in the woods". Troy became a salesman for Timberland Machinery and happily spent the rest of his career in the woods with his many logger friends, selling them the equipment they needed. Troy loved listening to bluegrass, and his favorite hobby was dirt track racing. He traveled all over the United States to attend races, and most Saturday nights, he could be found out at the track. Troy loved his family and friends and had never met a stranger. He is survived by his faithful son, Troy E. Meredith; grandsons, T.J. and Zachary; sister, Ruth Garner; niece, Roxanne Shaw; extended family; and many, many friends. Warren Family Funeral Services is honored to serve Mr.Meredith's family at this time.
