Funeral services for Thelma Walker Cox (83) of Jacksonville, Florida will be held 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 23, 2008 in the chapel of Prestwood Funeral Home with Pastor Larry McGinley of Old Plank Road Baptist Church officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Mrs. Cox was born October 3, 1925 in Argyle, Georgia, daughter of the late James Lawton Walker and the former Martha Ann Carver. She passed away December 20, 2008 in Jacksonville, Florida following a lengthy illness. She is survived by: Two Sons, Tommy (Judy) Johnson, Sr. and Gary (Kay) Johnson, Sr.; Two Brothers, Jimmy (Crystal) Walker and Bobby (Greta) Walker; Three Granddaughters, Melissa Duggan, Angie Martin and Christy (Justin) Rhoden; Three Grandsons, Tommy (Melissa) Johnson, Jr., Steven Johnson and Gary Johnson, Jr.; Thirteen Great Grandchildren.
