Funeral services for Steven Lee Acton (57) of Jacksonville, Florida will be held Friday, 11 a.m., February 14, 2014 in the chapel of Prestwood Funeral Home with Pastor John Spratlin officiating. The interment will immediately follow in Long Branch Cemetery. Mr. Acton was born on October 22, 1956 in Muncie, Indiana, son of the late Herbert Gene Acton and the former Phyllis Joan Nafe. He passed away on February 10, 2014 in Jacksonville, Florida following a lengthy illness. In addition to his wife of 38 years, Cheryl Acton, he is survived by: son, Clinton (Stephanie) Acton; daughter, Jennifer (John) Rhudy; three grandchildren, Tyler Jones, Terrence Jones and Alexis Rhudy; brother, Timothy (Kandi) Acton; numerous extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Stephenie Acton. Those serving as pallbearers include: Clinton Acton, Timothy Acton, Tyler Jones, Terrence Jones, William Honsberger and Fred Harris Jr. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Thursday, February 13, 2014 at the funeral home.
