It is with a heavy heart that we must let the world know that Samantha Kay Pratt passed away Saturday, February 14th, at 8:27 pm. She was currently fighting a very aggressive cancer that ended up taking her away from us.

Sam will be forever missed by each and every one of us. She spread love and laughter even through the darkest of times. She gave her two boys all the love they needed and made sure they were taken care of in every way. She fought to get them into the best schools, have the best adventures, spend the most time with their family, just as she did with her cousins. Even if it was inconvenient at the time, she made sure we showed up because family was so important to her. She gave them traditions and made sure that we stayed on top of them.

Sammy K loved her family even when they weren't being themselves. She would tell you things you didn't want to hear because she knew it was things that you needed to hear to get you back on the right path. We all know she was a very straightforward person. Not because she didn't care, but because she cared for everyone in her life so much. She would share all the time how important family was. Something that she taught me all the way until her final moments.

Samantha, you gave so much to me. You gave me the opportunity to be a loving husband and an incredible dad. Even when times were tough, you would tell me, "It's okay because we have each other and that is all that matters." We could be financially struggling, in an emotional rut, or standing in the kitchen with a 4-foot hole in our roof, but you never gave up. You were a fighter until your last moments with us.
