Biography
Funeral services for Roy Edmond Coleman, Sr. (69) of Baldwin, Florida will be held 2 p.m., Friday, January 13, 2012 at Grace Baptist Church with pastor Dewayne Jowers officiating. The interment will immediately follow in South Prong Cemetery, Macclenny, Florida. Roy was born on March 3, 1942, son of the late Sylvester Coleman and the former Mamie Lou Wilkes. He passed away on January 9, 2012 in his home following a brief illness. He retired from CSX and was a member of Grace Baptist Church. In addition to his wife of 44 years, Frances Coleman, survivors include: three sons, Alvin (Penny) Branch, Aaron Branch and Roy Coleman, Jr; two daughters, Denese (Donnie) Harvley and Darlyn (Philip) Schweckendieck; 12 grandchildren, Nicki, Trea, Aaron, Grace, Angela, Nathan, Joshua, Justin, Joseph, Jacob, Kaylobe and Ashley; numerous friends and family. Those serving as pallbearers include: Trea Hicks, Nathan Branch, Joshua Coleman, Justin Schweckendieck, Joseph Schweckendieck and Kaylobe Coleman. Honorary pallbearers include: Ray Wilkinson and SGT Aaron Klco. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Thursday, January 12, 2012 in the chapel of Prestwood Funeral Home.
