Richard Starling

Funeral services for Richard Starling (94) of Middleburg, Florida will be held 11 am, Saturday, January 17, 2015 at the Oak Grove Baptist Church with pastor Rusty Bryan officiating. The interment will immediately follow in Oak Grove Cemetery, Middleburg, Florida. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm, Friday, January 16, 2014 in the chapel of Prestwood Funeral Home. Richard was born on December 16, 1920 in Starke, Florida, son of the late Joseph Starling and the former Maude Beck. He passed away on January 14, 2015 in Jacksonville, Florida following a lengthy illness. In addition to his wife of 25 years, Mossie Starling, survivors include: two sons, Richard (Paula) Starling and Terry (Leslie) Starling; daughter, Cathy Howard; step-son, Jeff (Anjanette) Blanton; eight grandchildren, Karen (Greg) Carroll, Jennifer (Grady) Sutton, Josh (Karen) Starling, Pete (Katherine) Starling, Stephanie (Scott) Lundquist, Missy (Larry) Simmons, Tanna (Cary) DuVal and Tracy Howard; three step-grandchildren, Brandi (Tom) Blanton, Brandon Blanton and Tia Blanton; thirteen great grandchildren; three step-great grandchildren; numerous extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by daughter, Donna Rash.
