Raymond Coy Howell

Mr. Raymond Coy Howell, age 79 of Jacksonville, passed away on Sunday, August 8, 2021. He was born in Valdosta, Georgia to the late Edward and Mildred May Howell. Mr. Howell was a longtime Jacksonville resident and a railroad retiree. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and target shooting. Mr. Howell also enjoyed woodworking, welding, metalworking, and spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife, Daisy Howell; daughters: Valerie (Al) Freeman of Middleburg and Melissa (Randy Sr.) Hannah of Jacksonville; grandchildren: Michael Ray Gibson of Georgia, Amanda Gibson (Marlin) of Middleburg, Randy Hannah Jr., Amy (TJ) Johns of Jacksonville and Joey Freeman of Jacksonville; great grandchildren: Zach (Tori) Gibson, Deric Mortimor, Kaylee Gibson, and Wyatt Gibson; great great grandchildren: Isaac and Nova; and sister: Ann Shafer of Bethel Springs, Tennessee. He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters: Elaine Toski and Linda Balayut.  His family will celebrate his life, privately, at a later date.
