Paul E. Black 87 of Bryceville, Fl. passed away Wednesday, January 15, 2014 at Dr. Gaston J. Acosta-Rua Center for Caring in Jacksonville, Fl. Paul was born in Bendersville, Pa. on October 19, 1926 to Merle and Mildred Black. Paul served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He was the owner of Paul E. Black Trucking Co. for 20 years. Paul loved to fish when he wasn't on the road and watched the Atlanta Braves religiously. He was a member of the Bryceville First Baptist Church. Paul is survived by his wife Violet of 43 years, Sister Dorothy (Joe) Bosak Bendersville, Pa, 5 Children Paul Black II (Toni), Tom Black (Wilma) of Jacksonville Fl., Ann Slater, Dorothy Naylor of Easley, S.C., Cynthia (Bob) Funt of Biglerville, Pa. Stepsons Ronald Ramsey (Paula) Bryceville, Fl & Gary Ramesy (Judy) of Wesminster Co. Paul is also survived by 18 Grandchildren, 6 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great Great Grandchild. Paul is also survived by many extended family members and friends. Visitation will be held at Prestwood Funeral Home on Monday January 20, 2014 from 5:30pm to 7:00pm. Graveside services will be held at 10am on Tuesday January 21 2014 arrival time for visitors is at 9:45am at Jacksonville National Cemetery 4083 Lannie Road Jacksonville, Florida 32218. Officiated by Brother Terry Yerby of Bryceville First Baptist Church. Interment will follow immediately after the service.
