Mr. Leslie Troy Pecor, age 52 of Middleburg, passed away Saturday, January 26, 2019. He was born in Jacksonville, grew up in the Baldwin/Maxville area and was a 1984 graduate of Baldwin High School. Mr. Pecor was a hardworking truck driver who knew and loved his profession well. A “jack of all trades”, he enjoyed staying busy by working on cars and remodeling and working around his home. He was also a devoted family man and very involved with his children, spending much time as a “band parent” while his daughters were in school. In his free time he enjoyed going fishing and going on spontaneous outings with his wife. Those who knew him will remember him as a hardworking, well liked man with an easy going disposition. Mr. Pecor is survived by his wife of twenty years: Sandra Pecor; daughters: Angela (Erick) Sanders of North Carolina, Katie Long of Jacksonville, Leslie Pecor and Leighann Pecor, both of Middleburg; mother: Helen Pecor of Lawtey; and grandchildren: Emma, Leah, Raylan, Lauren, Wendell, Aubrie, and Ethan. Numerous other family members and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by his father: Edward Pecor and his grandparents: Leslie and Gazelle Sweat. Graveside services will be held 2:00pm, Thursday, January 31, 2019 at Long Branch Cemetery, Maxville. The family will receive friends from 11:00am til 1:00pm, Thursday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to The American Lung Association or The American Cancer Society.
