James Ketchie Obituary

Mr. James J. Ketchie, age 72 of Jacksonville, passed away Saturday, December 22, 2018. Mr. Ketchie was an outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing. He was the owner of Advantage Sport Center for thirty years. He was a devoted family man who adored his grandbabies. He is survived by his daughter: Kimberly D. (Chad) Harley of Jacksonville; sons: James Scott (Darla) Ketchie of Jacksonville and H.M. “Jamie” (Tracy) Ketchie of Bryceville; mother: Helen Ketchie of Jacksonville; grandchildren: Brent Woodward, Sara Ketchie, Jamie Ketchie, Kaylee Range, Nicholas Harley, Ashlyn Range, and Maegan Harley; two great grandchildren; brother: Tim Ketchie; sisters: Julie Jaillet of Jacksonville and Susan Melillo of Blairsville, GA and his lifelong friend: George “Bunky” Keene. He was preceded in death by his father: Dempsey H. Ketchie. Graveside services will be held 1:30pm, Wednesday, December 26, 2018 at the Smith Family Cemetery, Jacksonville, Florida with Brother Deryle Adkins officiating. Arrangements are entrusted to Prestwood Funeral Home, Baldwin, Florida 904-266-0072.
