Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Nomalie Annette Lang on February 27, 2026, at the age of 81. Best known as Annette, she was born in 1945 in Jacksonville, Florida, as the eldest child of the late William Kenneth and Nomalie (Lane) Hallicy.

Annette graduated from the class of 1963 from Paxon High School and went on to begin her career in insurance, working for Prudential. She then married her husband, Leon Lang, at Hart Haven Baptist Church in 1966. Following Mr. Lang’s service in the Air Force, they settled in Aurora, Colorado. After giving birth to their only child, Melissa Lynn Lang, Annette was blessed to be a stay-at-home Mother for many years.

Annette was a gifted artist who loved sketching the mountains and trees near their home. She also enjoyed traveling, reading, and doing crossword puzzles in her spare time. Annette loved meeting new people, attending church, and especially cherished the fellowship she received participating in Women’s Bible Study groups. In her later years, Annette moved back to Florida to be closer to her family. She enjoyed working in retail and as an aide at Brookdale Senior Living Center. The birth of her grandchild, Nicholas, brought her happiness and excitement that filled her days with joy.

She is survived by her daughter, Melissa Lang; grandson, Nicholas Lang; brother, William Kenneth Hallicy, Jr (Ludie); sister, Patricia Hallicy Mixson (Murrell); and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and treasured friends.

The family would like to thank the Life Care Center of Orange Park and Community Hospice for the dedicated care given to Annette in her final days. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a donation to the First Baptist Church of Baldwin, where Annette was a faithful and dedicated member.

A Celebration of her Life will be scheduled for a later date.

Warren Family Funeral Services is honored to care for Nomalie and her family during this time.
