Funeral services for Nannie Belle Flowers (70) of Jacksonville, Florida will be held Monday, 11 a.m. at Temple Baptist Church (485 Halsema Road North) with Pastor Bob Gallantine officiating. The interment will immediately follow in Riverside Memorial Park, Jacksonville, Florida. Mrs. Flowers was born February 17, 1939 in Laurinburg, North Carolina, daughter of the late Hector Watson and the former Gertrude Gray. She passed away September 10, 2009, peacefully in her home following a lengthy illness. In addition to her husband of 41 years, Charles E. Flowers, Jr., she is survived by: five sons, Rick (Cris) Driver, Eddie Flowers, Earl Driver, Billy Flowers and Tim (Kathy) Flowers; daughter, Nancy Flowers; five sisters, Kitty (Jim) Jenson, Linda Perkins, Lois Stratton, Betty Seabold and Edith Alexandra; brother, Gary (Charlene) Watson; ten grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. The family will receive friends Sunday from 2-4 p.m. in the chapel of Prestwood Funeral Home.
