YOUNG- Funeral services for Mary Anne Young (75) of Bryceville, Florida will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 6, 2017 at Brandy Branch Baptist Church, 1906 Brandy Branch Way, Bryceville, Florida 32009 with Pastor Deryle Adkison officiating. The interment will immediately follow in Restlawn Cemetery, 2600 Ribault Scenic Drive, Jacksonville, Florida 32208. Mrs. Young was born on March 5, 1942 in Jacksonville, Florida, daughter of the late Charlie Vance Little and the former Vernie Ernestine Peddie. She went home to be with the Lord on May 2, 2017 in Gainesville, Florida following an extended illness. She was a long time member of Brandy Branch Baptist Church, and also enjoyed to travel and spend time with her loving family. In addition to her husband of 55 years, Dennis Melvin Young, survivors include her daughters, Angela (Don) Slone, Patty (Jim) Austin, Denise (Billy) Howard, Vernice (Michael) Sykes and Elizabeth Young; grandchildren, James, Bryan, Emily, Rabecca, Matthew, Daniel, Casey, Sarah, Christina, Jonathan and Katelyn; great-grand children, Blake, Jack, Kenzi, Marshall and Benjamin; numerous extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Catherine, Grace and Myra; brothers, Charles, James and Paul. Those serving as pallbearers include: James, Bryan, Matthew, Daniel, Casey, Jonathan and Sean. The family will receive friends for visitation from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, May 5, 2017 in the chapel of Prestwood Funeral Home.
