Mary Elizabeth Fouraker

The smile of Mary Fouraker, 89, of Bryceville, Florida, smiled her ever welcoming smile, with stretched out arms and hugs for all as she praised God's Holy name ever at the gates of her Lord, God and Savior. Mary passed to be with her God and Savior in the stillness of the morning sharing God's Word. Mary's family that went before her were her parents, Ivie and Jewel Brooks; her loving husband, Elmer Fouraker; her 2 sisters and brothers-in-laws , Dorothy (Donald) Surrency and Shirley (Jasper) Griffin. She is survived by her daughter, Ann (Randy) Smith; son, Jim Fouraker; brother, Gene (Olivia) Brooks and brother-in-law, Charles (Ruth) Fouraker. She also leaves behind a very special love for her grandsons, Randy Smith, III; Travis (Christina) Smith; Brian (Chelsea)Smith and 2 great grandsons, Luke and Owen Smith and many nieces and nephews. Mary was a member of Brandy Branch Baptist Church for over 50 years making people welcome and sharing her witness to all. She had many interests: Reading her Bible daily, sharing its Word…Mary loved reading her Bible; avid gardener with a large garden every year filled with fruits and vegetables, only she could grow; she loved cooking and she could cook anything and there was always plenty to eat for everyone. Mary was a giver; she shared and gave everything with her very special brand of love. She enjoyed sewing, reading, and her word puzzles; riding her lawnmower doing her yard and garden chores. Mary had a special gift for helping, sharing and giving. As Proverbs says, "She was a Virtuous Woman and in all ways a woman of 'strength and honor'…her husband proudly sitting at the gates.

Funeral Services will be held 1:00pm, Wednesday, December 20, 2023 at Brandy Branch Baptist Church with Pastor Deryle Adkison officiating. Burial will follow the service at Brandy Branch Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at 12:00pm at the church.
