Funeral Services for Mary Elizabeth Carter Chancey "MATER" (83) of Jacksonville, Florida will be held 10:00 A.M., Monday, February 11, 2008 in the chapel of Prestwood Funeral Home with Rev. Larry McGinley of Old Plank Road Baptist Church officiating. The interment will immediately follow in Riverside Memorial Park. Mrs. Chancey was born June 29, 1924 in La Crosse, Florida the daughter of the late Mitchell L. Carter and the former Doshia D. Daugherty. She passed away Wednesday, February 6, 2008 in Jacksonville, Florida following a lengthy illness. Mrs. Chancey was a member of Old Plank Road Baptist Church. Survivors Include: Daughter, Ann Mosley; Son, Charles (Jewel) Chancey; Sister, Corena Dubberly; Two Grandsons, Robbie Mosley and Brandon Chancey; Granddaughter, Shannon Chancey; Great Grandson, Cody Chancey. The family will receive friends from 3-5 P.M., Sunday, February 10, 2008 at the funeral home.
