Funeral services for Marvin Edgar Williams (73) of Jacksonville, Florida will be held 10:00 a.m., Saturday, June 28, 2014 at Otis Road Church of God with pastor Steve Thomas officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Friday, June 27, 2014 in the chapel of Prestwood Funeral Home. Mr. Williams was born on September 13, 1940 in Jacksonville, Florida, son of the late Edgar Benjamin Williams and the former Estelle Elizabeth Sellers. He passed away on June 25, 2014 following a brief illness. In addition to his wife of four years, Nell Williams, survivors include: son, Dale (Sandy) Williams; two daughters, Michelle Williams and Melissa Williams; step-daughter, Brenda (Wally) Hays; son-in-law, Dennis Pope; two grandsons, Dustin Williams and Blake Morgan; granddaughter, Natalie (Al) Kade; great-grandson, Mark Fowler; brother, Edgar (Bunnie) Williams; sister, Joan Bryant; numerous extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by: wife, Terri Williams; brother-in-law, Monroe Bryant; step-daughter, Debbie Pope. The interment will immediately follow in Sellers Cemetery, Jacksonville, Florida. Those serving as pallbearers include: Dustin Williams, Monroe Bryant, Chris Eidson, Ted Williams, Thomas Braddock and Billy Sage. Honorary pallbearers include, Blake Morgan and Bobby Johnson.
