Biography
HINSON- Marvin Owen Hinson, Sr., (78) of Hilliard, Florida passed away Saturday, March 31, 2007. He was born November 5, 1928 in Hortense, Georgia, the son of Walter Bishop Hinson and Winnifred Virginia Day Hinson. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Frances Caroline Hodges, 3 daughters, Annette (Tom) Sheehan, Lois (Sandy) Baumwald, Marilyn (Troy) Carter, 3 sons, Robert (Darlene) Hinson, Marvin Hinson, Jr., and Billy (Laura) Hinson; 14 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Marvin was a life long resident of Hilliard and member of Buford Grove Baptist Church. Marvin and Caroline shared their life devoted to each other. It was a joy to witness and an inspiration to all. His family is blessed beyond comprehension to have had this wonderful man as husband, Daddy and Papa. He loved us all so much and we will always feel his presence. Our memories are so precious and they will always remain in our hearts. Marvin loved to hunt and fish and shared this love with family and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Rowland (Peanut) Haddock, Jr., parents, Bish and Winnie Hinson, brothers, Wilbur Popwell, Elmer Popwell, sisters, Estelle Brock and Claudine Braddock. Serving as pallbearers are; Rodney Haddock, Trey Sheehan, Brian Massey, Scott Massey, Josh Hinson, Justin Hinson, Bish Hinson and Garrett Hinson. Serving as honorary pallbearers are; Donald Reed, A.J. Duce, Donnie Conner, Norval Conner, Jimmy Conner, Bill Conner, Charles Johns, Bruce Cribbs, Rowland Haddock, Donnie Braddock, Ronnie Braddock, Dale Braddock, Danny Popwell, Steve Popwell, Floyd Brock and Johnny Popwell. Funeral services celebrating Marvin's life will be 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, April 4, 2007 at Buford Grove Baptist Church, Hilliard, Florida with internment following in Buford Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday, April 3, 2007 from 6-8 P.M. at Buford Grove Baptist Church. Those desiring may make contributions to Buford Grove Baptist Building Fund.
