Lucille Thompson Crews of Baldwin, FL, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on March 25, 2025, at the graceful age of 92.
Born on July 7, 1932, Lucille was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, and a cherished friend to all who knew her. She had a deep love for nature, often spending time tending to her garden and fishing off of her dock. She enjoyed preparing delicious Southern dishes and loved being surrounded by family, making memories that will last a lifetime. She found great joy in caring for her goats and chickens, but nothing brought her more happiness than singing and playing her guitar for her Savior, Jesus Christ. Her unwavering faith and love for music were a testament to her beautiful spirit.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Vinton and Mae Thompson; her sweet husband, Fred Crews; siblings, Horace Thompson and Mabel Hudson; grandchild, Jay Huggins; and great-grandchild, Taylor Thornton.
Lucille is survived by her children, Larry O'Neal (Paula), Linda Huggins (Rick), Farrell Crews (Crystal), Lamar Crews (Donna), Darryl Crews (Vicki), and Theresa Hartman (Glen); her brother, Sam Thompson; grandchildren, Lorie, Renee, Wayne, John, Shawn, Alyssa, Heather, Robert, Adam, Tara, Daniel, Sabrina, Brandee, and Bryan; 31 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; and many others who lovingly called her Geemama!
