June 10, 1927 — June 15, 2007

REYNOLDS – Funeral services for Lillian Inez McGlashan Reynolds (80) of Baldwin, Florida will be held 11:00 A.M., Friday, June 22, 2007 at the First Baptist Church of Baldwin with Rev. Chris Drum and Rev. Gene Burnsed officiating. Interment will immediately follow in Brandy Branch Cemetery, Bryceville, Florida. Mrs. Reynolds was born June 10, 1927 in Homerville, Georgia, daughter of the late Joseph V. McGlashan and the former Vida Ideal Jolly. She passed away June 15, 2007 in Jacksonville, Florida following a brief illness. A wife, mother and homemaker for 44 years she began a new career in child care and retired earlier this year from the First Baptist Pre-School, due to her health, after 21 years of the loving care she gave to all her "babies." A skilled story teller, she often said, "I wish I had taken notes so I could have written a book." Even at the age of 80, working on her computer, crossword puzzles and reading were some of her favorite pastimes. She was a Southern Baptist and read her Bible and devotional daily. Being very independent and quick to express her mind, she never met a stranger, loving to talk so much that it was hard to get a word in "edgeways" when she got on a roll. She is survived by: Daughter, Lula (Larry) Hill of Baldwin, Florida; Three Sons, Cary (Linda) Reynolds and Gary Reynolds of Baldwin, Florida, and Michael (Leta) Reynolds of Gassville, ARK; Two Brothers, Jimmy Von (Sandy) McGlashan of St. Augustine, Florida and James E. (Betty) McGlashan of Spring City, TN; Eight Grandchildren, Kenneth, Gene, Timmy, Joey, Dale, Michael, Angela and Monica; Eighteen Great Grandchildren, Destiny, Taylor, Tyler, Jeffery, Haley, Sydney, Bradley, Gene, Courtney, Amanda, Matthew, Kaylan, Jessie, Scott, Shelby, Donovan, Tristan and David. She was preceded in death by: Husband, Cecil Eugene Reynolds; Brother, Joseph William; Two Sisters, Genina Gieger and Eloise Alligood; Grandson, Larry Noel Hill, Jr. Special people in her life were Steve and Christy Stafford, Les and Judy Manucy, Norma Francis, Kay Wright, Rev. Chris Drum and Rev. Gene Burnsed, and their families. We could never list all the people she loved and everyone she knew was special to her. She will be truly missed, not only by her family, but all the friends she has made over the years. The family will receive friends from 6-8 P.M., Thursday, June 21, 2007 at Prestwood Funeral Home. IN LIEU OF FLOWERS PLEASE MAKE DONATIONS TO: Community Hospice, 4266 Sunbeam Road, Jacksonville, Florida in her honor.
