Funeral services for Lewis Thomas Jones, Jr. (76) of Jacksonville, Florida will be held 1 p.m., Friday, May 22, 2009 in the chapel of Prestwood Funeral Home with Dr. Larry Padgett officiating. The interment will immediately follow in the Jacksonville National Cemetery with military honors. Mr. Jones was born June 27, 1932 in Jacksonville, Florida, son of the late Lewis Thomas Jones, Sr. and the former Maggie Meeker. He passed away May 18, 2009 following a lengthy illness. In addition to his wife of 55 years, Gloria Padgett Jones, survivors include: Four Sons, Mike (Ginnie) Jones, Ronnie Jones, Steve (Casey) Jones and Craig (Kristen) Jones; Sister, Ann Walden; Brother, Paul (Peggy) Jones; Ten Grandchildren, Melissa (Matt), Ryan, Bryan, Matthew, Ashley, Autumn, Madison, Kelsey, Craig Jr. and Brandon. Those serving as pallbearers: Mike Jones, Ronnie Jones, Steve Jones, Craig Jones, Bryan Jones and Matt Jones. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Thursday, May 21, 2009 in the chapel of Prestwood Funeral Home.
