Funeral Services for L.D. Earl Welch (81) of Orange Park, Florida will be held 7:00 P.M., Monday, September 29, 2008 in the chapel of Prestwood Funeral Home with Brother Gerald Thompson officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will be held 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, September 30, 2008 in Peoria Cemetery, Orange Park, Florida. Mr. Welch was born September 5, 1927, in Heavener, Oklahoma, son of the late Phillip Henry Welch and the former Naomi Dudley Fuentes. He passed away September 25, 2008 in Jacksonville, Florida following a lengthy illness. In addition to his wife of 59 years, Joyce Welch, survivors include: Four Daughters, Wanda Baxter, Kay (Gerald) Thompson, Eileen (Alton) Stanley and Melissa (Billy) Estes; Two Sons, Eddie (Marie) Welch and Matthew Thomas; Seventeen Grandchildren, Thirteen Great Grandchildren and One Great-Great Gandchild.
