Johnny "Doyle" Moore, Sr

Funeral Services for Johnny "Doyle" Moore, Sr. (72) of Jacksonville, Florida will be held 10 a.m., Thursday in the chapel of Prestwood Funeral Home with Rev. Danny Boyd officiating. The interment will be held 3 p.m., at Beards Creek Cemetery (60 Beards Creek Church Road) in Glennville, Georgia. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, July 29, 2009 in the chapel of Prestwood Funeral Home. Mr. Moore was born July 8, 1937 in Glennville, Georgia, son of the late Johnnie H. Moore and the former Binnie Carolyn Brannen. Doyle was retired from St. Regis Paper Company and Eastport Timber Company. His hobbies include, golfing, fishing and hunting. He passed away on July 27, 2009 in Jacksonville, Florida. In addition to his wife of 51 years, Carol Moore, he is survived by: Son, Jay Moore; Two Granddaughters, Gabrielle and Alex Moore; Four Sisters, Bobbie (Bennie) Dubberly, Melba (Mac) McDugald, Laverne (Owen) Thomas and Dot (Cecil) Kicklighter; Brother, Durone (Donna) Moore; Numerous Nieces and Nephews. Those serving as pallbearers include: Tom Bowman, Larry Payne, Sr., Larry Payne, Jr., Justin Payne, James Soles and Mike Burlone.
