John Carl Murray

Mr. John Carl Murray of Jacksonville passed away on Saturday, September 1, 2018 at Acosta-Rua Center for Caring.

Mr. Murray was in the logging & timber business. Carl was a devoted husband and family man who would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Mr. Murray was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Hattie Arnett Murray.

Surviving are his wife Lori Murray, Daughters Amy (Moses) Crews of Middleburg, Melissa (Bryan) Rigdon of Clay Hill, Sons Josh Murray of Clay Hill, Michael (Heather) Manning of Clay Hill, Travis Morgan of Clay Hill, Brother Edward (Susie) Murray of Clay Hill Grandchildren Bobby, Abbie, Trey, Hagen, Alana, Olivia, Brayden, Tori, Gracie, and Frank.

Funeral Services will be conducted Friday September 7, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Clay Hill Baptist Church with Reverend Charlie Hunt officiating; burial to follow in Long Branch Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6 until 8 pm at the funeral home.

Prestwood Funeral Home of Baldwin is serving the Murray family.
