KEEN - - - Funeral services for Jo LYNN Hill-Keen, (58) of Baldwin, Florida will be held Saturday, April 7, 2007 at the First Baptist Church of Baldwin, 97 Center Street in Baldwin, Florida, with Rev. Chris Drum, Pastor, officiating. Family will receive friends Friday (TODAY) from 6-8 PM at the church. Jo LYNN was born September 4, 1948 in Baldwin, Florida, the daughter of the late Jesse Clayton Hill, and the former Jessie Mae Crosby-Hill, and passed away April 3, 2007 at her home in Bryceville, Florida. She was a life long resident of the Baldwin area, and graduate of Baldwin High School. After graduation, Jo LYNN married Robert William "Bobby" Keen, and shortly after started working with the Duval County School system. Jo Lynn having the advantage of knowing the parents of most of the children attending school, found herself in a roll that allowed her to council, discipline, but most of all be a surrogate mother who the children felt comfortable to go to with their problems. Jo LYNN retired from Baldwin Middle Senior High School with nearly 30 years of service, but remained active in the community. In addition to her husband Bobby of 41 years, she leaves behind her children; Ira (Becky) Copher, Rob (Beth) Keen, and Brent (Karly) Keen; Brothers, Larry (Lula Mae) Hill, and Clayton (Sharon) Hill; brother and sister in laws, Buddy (Juanita) Keen, Linda (Joe) Leatherman, Jimmy (Lynn) Keen, Debra Keen-Youmans, Susan (Randall) Smith, and Lisa (Brent) Rose; grandchildren, Madison, Braden, and Taylor Keen; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends. She was preceded in death by her sister Kitty Crews. Jo LYNN will always be remembered for her firmness, fairness, and her unconditional love, and will be sorely missed by all that knew her.
