Larry McGinley of Old Plank Road Baptist Church officiating. Mr. Jacobs was born on September 5, 1972 in Jacksonville, Florida, son of Jerry Lester Jacobs Sr. and the former Phyllis Carter. He passed away on April 7, 2016. In addition to his wife, Melissa Jacobs, survivors include: Sons, Dylon Thomas Jacobs and Jerry Lester Jacobs III; Daughters, Destiny Copper and Jessica Crawford; Sisters, Lisa Ann Thomas and Carolyn Marie Davis; Nephews, Gage Davis, Garrett Davis, Carter Davis, Brayden Johns, Steven Thomas; Nieces, Kaylynn Johns and April Thomas; Aunts & Uncles, Barbara (Harry) Pounds, Jean (Garland) Whaley, Ann (Wayne) Dill, John (Loretta) Sanford, Donnie (Teresa) Jacobs, Denny (Debbie) Woodard, Janet Jacobs, Carolyn Dangerfield, Agnes Strickland, Betty Sweat. Numerous extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lester Jacobs (Ophelia), D. "Spring" Carter and Emily Whaley; Uncle, Ronald Owen Jacobs.
