SPIVEY- - - Jennifer Lynn "Jenny" Smith Spivey was called home to be with her Lord on August 29, 2007. Assured of her salvation, she passed away in the arms of her soul mate and husband, Joseph "Joe" Spivey, following a lengthy and courageous battle with cervical cancer. She was welcomed to the world on October 24, 1977 to her parents, Melvin (Kathy) Smith and Julie (Jerry) Yawn. She was a devoted mother to her children, Christopher, Aaron, Brooke and Dakota Spivey. She was a loving sister to Michael and Kayla Smith and Misty (Kevin) Geren. She is survived by great-grandmother Aline Stivers; grandparents Bryant and Judy Stivers; aunts and uncles, Pam (Jeff) Bowyer, Tony (Debbie) Stivers, Beverly Braddock, Jane (Ken) Poitevint; cousins, Laura (Charlie), Jeffrey, T.J. (Melinda), Joe, Christina, David, Kaley, Annie, Kimberly; best friend Leah Dempsey; husband's family Lonnie and Elaine Merrow, James (Sandy) Shuman, Chris (Kathy) Merrow, Kim (Marty) Niebauer and many other family and friends. Everyone she knew was touched by her loyalty, strength, and zest for life. Family will receive friends from 6-8 P.M. on Monday, September 3, 2007 in the chapel of Prestwood Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, September 4, 2007 at First Baptist Church, 97 Center Street, Baldwin FL. Immediately following the service the family will greet friends in the Family Life Center located adjacent to the church. Interment service will be 2:30 P.M. at Riverside Memorial Park, Jacksonville, Florida. In lieu of flowers those desiring may make contributions in Jenny's memory to the American Cancer Society, Hospice of Northeast Florida, or the charity of your choice. "
