Biography
BUCHAN – Funeral Services for Jefferson Monroe Buchan, Sr. (69) of Bryceville, FL will be held 11:00 A.M., Saturday, May 5, 2007 at Brandy Branch Baptist Church with Pastor Rusty Bryan officiating. The interment will immediately follow in Brandy Branch Cemetery. Mr. Buchan was born March 21, 1938, in Ambrose, GA, the son of the late Tim Buchan and the former Florine Tindall. He passed away May 1, 2007 in Bryceville, FL. As a Master Tile Setter by trade, he retired after 30 years of service. He was currently employed by Yarbrough Security as a security officer. Being a true sportsman, he was an avid hunter and fisherman. In addition to his wife of 50 years, Barbara Sue Buchan, he is survived by: Four Daughters, Brenda (Mack) Harper, Ann (Trevor) Jowers, Sherry (Johnny) Manning and Terry Howe; Son, Jeff (Stormy) Buchan, Jr.; Three Brothers, Johnny (Dale) Buchan, Allen (Janet) Buchan and Ronny Buchan; Five Sisters, Burndean Tucker, Jo (Roy) Moses, Nelline Buchan, Jennie (Raymond) McStephenson and Rosalee Miller; Eleven Grandchildren and Seven Great Grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by, sister, Resey Doe and nephew, Donny McStephenson. Mr. Buchan's nephews will be serving as pallbearers.
