Janet Marie Townsend

Mrs. Janet Marie Townsend, age 78 of Callahan, passed away Wednesday, June 1, 2022. Born in Minnesota to the late Grover Henry and Marcella Jacobsen, Mrs. Townsend was a forty-two-year Callahan resident. She was a homemaker who lovingly cared for her family. A master gardener, she enjoyed tending her garden and canning her harvest. She also enjoyed cooking, sewing, and Stampin' Up!. She is survived by her husband of fifty-four years: Willie Townsend of Callahan; children: Amy (Kenney) Wagner of Middleburg and Hank Townsend of Callahan; grandchildren: Devin (Jamie) Sheffield and Dillon Sheffield, all of Hilliard, Brandon Townsend of California, Breonna Townsend of Ft. Walton, Ethan Townsend of Jacksonville and Susan (Jay) Taylor of Macclenny; great grandchildren: Landon Sheffield, Pierson Taylor, and Jaiden Townsend; and sisters: Rosann (Mac) McFarland of Jacksonville and Lyn (Lynn) Sorensen of Minnesota.
