THOMPSON – Funeral Services for Janet Louise Thompson (51) of Jacksonville, FL will be held 11:00 A.M., Saturday, October 27, 2007 in the chapel of Prestwood Funeral Home with Pastor Richard Edwards officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service. Janet Louise Thompson went home to be with her Lord Wednesday, October 24th, after a courageous year-long battle with cancer. Jan was born April 4, 1956, to Everett C. Eads and Lola Ermadean Padgett in Rolla, MO. She resided in the Orange Park area for many years where she was a cosmetologist and owned and operated her own hair salon. Jan will be greatly missed and in addition to her parents, is survived by: Three Children, John McWhorter, Heather (Jason) Lynn, Jason (Amy) McWhorter; Five Grandchildren, Chloe, Bradley, Kristopher, Paige, Jenna and Cameron; Three Sisters, Shirley (Larry) Taylor, Wanda (Tim) Curington, Carol (Bill) Burkhart; Brother, Everett Lee Eads; Several Nieces and Nephews, Great-Nieces and Nephews, as well as the rest of her extended family and countless friends. In Lieu of Flowers donations may be made to the Community Hospice of NE Florida, Hadlow Center.
