James "Jim" Walden Trosclair Jr.

Mr. James "Jim" Walden Trosclair Jr., age 62 of Jacksonville, passed away Tuesday, June 8, 2021. Born in Mobile, Alabama, Mr. Trosclair was a lifelong Jacksonville resident. He was a 1977 graduate of Ed White High School and attended what is now Florida State College at Jacksonville. As a young adult, Jim was a lifeguard at Little Talbot Island and had six certified rescues. He was employed by the City of Jacksonville and retired after thirty-seven years of service. Jim enjoyed going fishing and spoiling his grandbabies. He was a wonderful son, husband, father, grandfather and friend. He is survived by his wife of thirty-one years: Cheri Trosclair of Jacksonville; mother: Faith Belloit of Jacksonville; sons: Chris Sheppard and Matt Sheppard, both of Jacksonville; grandchildren: Emily, Taylor, Hannah, Maliyah, and Kristen; brother: Mike Trosclair and sister: Renee (Buck) Meredith all of Jacksonville. Numerous friends, family, a niece and nephew also survive. He was preceded in death by his father: James W. Trosclair Sr. A celebration of his life will be held 1:00pm, Saturday, June 19, 2021 in the chapel at Warren Funeral Services of Baldwin.
