James Ronald (Ron/Ronnie) Vann

Mr. James Ronald (Ron/Ronnie) Vann of Jacksonville, Florida passed away at Shands Hospital on Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at the age of 60. Ron was born January 19, 1958 in Bonne Terre, MO and at an early age, moved to Jacksonville, Florida along with his parents. Ron was preceded in death by his father, Royce James Vann.

He is survived by his devoted wife Pamela Tiede Vann, their only child Jennifer Lynn Vann and his loving mother, Geneva Vann Miller of Orange Park, Florida. Ron loved fishing and enjoyed golfing and hunting. He was passionate about football, especially his home team, the Jacksonville Jaguars, and Nascar. His favorite shows were Gunsmoke and M.A.S.H. It was Ron's wish to be buried at the Jacksonville National Cemetery in Jacksonville, Florida. Funeral services will be held there at 1:30pm, Tuesday, October 23,2018. There will be no visitation and in lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made, in Ron's memory, to the American Heart Association.
