REEVES - Funeral Services for James Cleveland Reeves "J.C." (76) of Baldwin, FL will be held 11:00 a.m., Monday, August 4, 2008 in Brandy Branch Baptist Church (Bryceville, FL) with Pastor Rusty Bryan and Pastor James Conner officiating. The interment will immediately follow in Brandy Branch Cemetery, Bryceville, FL. Mr. Reeves was born September, 19, 1931 in Baxley, GA son of the late James Reeves and the former Eunice Stone. He was a resident of Baldwin, FL for the last 50 years, working as a dairy farmer and retiring from Florida Steel Corp. Membership includes, Brandy Branch Baptist Church where he was a dedicated and active member for many years. Mr. Reeves went home to be with the Lord on July 31, 2008, following a brief illness. In addition to his loving wife of 58 years, Corine Manning Reeves, he is survived by: Son, Mitchell (Susan) Reeves of Baldwin, FL; Grandson, Wyatt Reeves of Baldwin, FL; Brother, W.M. (Effie Mae) Reeves of Lumber City, GA; Three Sisters, Christine Murray of Blackshear, GA, Eveline Peacock of Baxley, GA and Betty (Alvin) Sellers of Baxley, GA; Brother-in-Law, J.W. (Mae) Manning of Montgomery, AL; Blessed with Numerous Nieces, Nephews and a very loving Church family. He was preceded in death by his sister, Ethel Hipps. Serving as pallbearers: Roy Braddock, Dwight Braddock, Randy Braddock, Maitland Dampier, Marvin White and Morgan Stokes. Honorary pallbearers include: Rev. Bert Hutson, David Hunt, Raymond Jones, Hilton White, Marvin Stokes, Joe Phillips, Everett Davis and Rester Bryan. The family will receive friends from 3-5 p.m., Sunday, August, 3, 2008 in the chapel of Prestwood Funeral Home.
