James Alsip

Funeral services for James Lewis Alsip (89) of Bryceville, Florida will be held 10 a.m., Wednesday, September 19, 2012 in the chapel of Prestwood Funeral Home with pastor Mike Ramondetta officiating. The interment will immediately follow in the Jacksonville National Cemetery. Mr. Alsip was born on March 22, 1923, in Corbin, Kentucky, son of the late Harvey Alsip and the former Minnie Smith. He passed away on September 16, 2012 following a lengthy illness. In addition to his wife of 60 years, Sylvia Alsip he is survived by: two daughters, Fay (Earl) Gilbert and Jean (Mike) Gordon; five grandchildren and six great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, September 18, 2012 at the funeral home.
