Funeral services for Irene Leino Harvey (73) of Clay Hill, Florida will be held 11 AM, Thursday, May 15, 2014 at Clay Hill Baptist Church with pastors Rick Crews and Charlie Hunt officiating. The interment will immediately follow in Long Branch Cemetery. Irene was born on February 20, 1941 in El Centro, California, daughter of the late Edward Mayou and the former Mary Lucille Lewis. She passed away on May 11, 2014, surround by her loving family, in Orange Park, Florida. Irene was retired from the Florida Times Union. Her memberships included: Clay Hill Baptist Church, Black Pond Baptist Church, River Bend Hunting Club, Clay Hill Hunting Club and the Duval County Fox Hunters Association. She was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Hilliard Arnold "Hog" Harvey. She is survived by: her children, Walter Frank "Binky" Leino (Dena), Lori Murray (Carl), Jeffrey Todd Leino, Randall William Leino (Tammy), Latrelle Harvey Taylor (Darryl); 17 grandchildren; and 31 great-grandchildren; numerous extended family members and friends. Those serving as pallbearers include: Frank Leino, Jimmy Carter, Billy Meadows, Kyle Hale, Harry Peppard and Terrell Padgett. Honorary pallbearers include: Kenneth Keene, Bob Shuppe, Bobby Wilford and Windell Manning.
