Harriette Brown Cone

CONE- Funeral services for Harriette Brown Cone (86) will be held 11:00 a.m, Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at the First Baptist Church of Baldwin with Pastor Chris Drum officiating. Interment will follow in Brandy Branch Cemetery, Bryceville, Florida. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, October 4, 2016 at the funeral home. Ms. Cone was born January 5, 1930 in Monticello, Florida, daughter of the late Harry Engelman Brown and the former Louise Morris. She went home to be with the Lord on September 30, 2016 following an extended illness. Ms. Cone was a faithful member of Baldwin First Baptist Church where she was a Sunday school teacher and a choir member for over 50 years. She married her husband, Floyd Hartford Cone on December 20, 1947 in Monticello, Florida. She is survived by her daughter, Elaine Whitmire; son, Larin (Teresa) Cone; grandchildren, Justin Cone, Timothy Cone and Sean Whitmire; great-granddaughter, Kendall Cone; her faithful caregiver, Rosie McCauley; her loving church family; many extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Cone; sons, Floyd Cone Jr. and David Cone. Those serving as pallbearers include: Sean Whitmire, Gene Hodges, Vernon Harris, Joey Byrd, James Williams and Stuart Campbell.
