Funeral Services for Harrell Vandell Bennett (78) of Jacksonville, FL will be held 10:00 a.m., Monday, July 21, 2008 at Temple Baptist Church (485 Halsema Road North) with Rev. Robert J. Galentine officiating. The interment will immediately follow in Brandy Branch Cemetery, Bryceville, FL. Mr. Bennett was born May 7, 1930 in Wildwood, FL, the son of the late Harrell Bennett and the former Fracia Mae Pringle Bennett. He passed away July 17, 2008 in Wildwood, FL. Mr. Bennett was a Vietnam Veteran, retired mechanic and a member of Temple Baptist Church. He is survived by: Four Sons, Randall Mobley, Billy Mobley, Dale (Doris) Parrish and Ronnie (Suzanne) Bennett; Four Daughters, Connie (Jeff) Berkey, Bobbie (Melvin) Thompson, Vicki Hawkins and Penny (Albert) Seymour; Two Sisters, Joyce McQuaig and Marinell Bennett; Eight Grandchildren and Twelve Great Grandchildren; Numerous Nieces and Nephews. Those serving as pallbearers include: Nathan Warren, Mark C. Baldwin II, Patrick Gayle, Brian Knight, Clayton Plank and Wesley Branthoover all of which grew in Mr. Bennett's Sunday school class. Honorary Pallbearers include: Mitchell Greene, Donald Bryan, Sammy Johnson, Pat Nugent and George Avinger. The family will receive friends from 3-5 p.m., Sunday, July 20, 2008 in the chapel of Prestwood Funeral Home.
